Position
Analysts work with a group of experienced professionals as they pitch, advise and execute. Working under the overall direction of senior bankers you will be assigned to transactions, you will stick with the clients and the deals as they move, for example, from a bridge loan to a debt issue or advisory mandate.
In this capacity you will
- Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, debt financing and merger and acquisition opportunities
- Value private and public companies using various methodologies
- Create financing models to project a client’s ability to pay off bank debt
- Assist with client negotiations and credit documentation
- Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos

Qualifications
Qualifications: An undergraduate degree with either a major or significant coursework in a business-related field is required (Finance, Economics, Accounting), along with a combination of strong financial/analytical skills and excellent communications abilities. Successful candidates must have the capability to become adept at financial modeling and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications
MBA graduate with a concentration in finance, along with a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communications abilities and well-developed writing proficiency. In addition, the candidate must be adept at financial modeling and valuation and work effectively in a team environment. Prior experience in investment banking is preferred but not required; however, the candidate must possess industry knowledge and an ambition for a career in investment banking.
Fixed Income Sales & Trading Analyst

Position
The Sales & Trading Group is comprised of a number of Fixed Income businesses. New analysts participate in a rotational program which will enable them to develop and hone their skill-sets by training on different desks. The desk assignments are based on business need and personal interest. Analysts join their first rotation after the training program and move to a second rotation six months thereafter. The majority of analysts are done with rotations after their second desk placement.
In this capacity you will
- Answering calls and listening in on client calls with senior salespeople
- Assisting with client needs
- Sending out research and ideas internally and externally
- Generating views and ideas about the fixed income market
- Creating and maintaining presentation materials
- Supporting senior salespeople and liaising between clients and traders
- Allocating trades and liaising with clients and internal groups to ensure all transactions meet the client’s needs
- Analytical projects and excel reporting
- Understanding risk and developing an idea of risk taking strategies
- Developing an understanding of market indicators, their impact across the yield curve and on different instruments
- Presenting research and recommendations to the trading team
- Working with the trading team on inter-day requirements
- Working with sales and other groups internally to ensure executed transactions are settled and provide further information where required
- Certain desks will have analysts work on building models and quantitative analytics, financial engineering, heavy modeling and coding are desirable skill sets for trading analysts
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in any discipline with strong financial and analytical skills. Successful candidates must have strong communication skills, problem solving and analytical capabilities and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Global Counterparty Credit Analyst
Global Counterparty Credit Analyst
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients. At TD Securities, the Global Counterparty Credit function is involved with the origination process for trading and credit analysis and recommendation for the credit/derivative facilities. The GCC group enables the various trading desks to transact with counterparties. The group also performs ad hoc reporting and monitoring of the credit risk profile of TD Securities’ clients that are users of a wide variety of capital market trading products.

In this capacity you will
- Assist in the preparation and recommendation of high quality credit submissions relating to new business proposals
- Conduct appropriate market, industry and client credit analysis with clearly articulated recommendations on credit decisions and appropriate borrow risk ratings
- Work closely with other product groups, including TDS Treasury Sales and Trading, TD Securities Cash Management, TDS Trade Finance and other business areas of TD to ensure that credit needs are being met
- Ongoing monitoring of Counterparty’ performance and credit exposures, including compliance with authorized credit limits and terms, as well as reporting requirements
- Identify potential problems requiring attention and recommend appropriate actions to best manage the risks in deteriorating credit situations
- Contribute to a strong credit culture of the Credit team by raising issues on credit, reputational and operational risks
- Ensure that credit arrangements adequately balance the risk and return
Qualifications
