Career Relaunch Program
Life happens and sometimes your career needs to take a backseat – but what about when you’re ready to return to work? TD Bank believes return-to-work professionals should be able to excel in the workplace just like their peers who did not take career breaks, and TD will offer support to get you started. TD is working with iRelaunch, the pioneering career reentry company, to offer a 6-month career transition program for financial professionals who are relaunching their careers. The program includes skill refreshers, mentoring, coaching, networking and a personalized development plan.
Successful applicants will have:
- A career break of 1 or more years and are ready to restart their career.
- Relevant experience in credit analysis, project management, financial analysis, operational effectiveness, risk management, strategy & planning, data analysis, business management, product management or portfolio management.
- Interest and availability to take a full-time position with TD Bank following the 6-month program.
- The next program will begin in January 2025. Applications will be accepted starting September 2024.
Lisa Ainsworth, Credit Portfolio Manager and Career Relaunch Associate, says: “I originally worked in trading on Wall Street and had to make a decision at one point whether I was going to stay as a career person or devote some time to family. I decided to devote time to my family and it was not a bad decision.”
Shweta Sharma, Business Management Specialist and Career Relaunch Associate, says: “I took a break from my career to care for my kids. After spending four good years with them, they were ready to go back to school full time, and I was ready to come back to the workforce.”
