Engineering Practices at TD
Cyber Engineering
The Cyber Engineering team at TD is responsible for the delivery of innovative technology solutions to help evolve, enhance, and transform security capabilities at TD. This team manages technologies concerned with protecting the Bank’s customer and workforce data, digital assets, applications, and endpoints. Our team’s relentless focus on research and development, innovation, and secure design practices is how we help protect the Bank against vulnerabilities as well as against insider and outsider threats.
Software Engineering
The Software Engineering team at TD is responsible for the design, development, and testing of technical solutions consistent with standard Engineering and Architectural design guidelines and patterns. Our mission is to deliver quality software products, platform capabilities and customer experiences with speed, while empowering our colleagues through a culture of learning, experimentation, self-sufficiency, and Agile autonomy. We are creating mechanisms so that the most secure, controlled path will also be the easiest one for our engineers to take to help build great products.
Application Release Engineering
The Application Release Engineering team is accountable to enable and execute on modernizing how TD deploys and releases software assets through increased automation, process optimization, and evangelizing of Development Operation best practices. We are focused on helping to increase the speed of software release from development to production. In addition, we focus on providing best practices for releasing software and helping to create a secure environment for development and testing delivery teams.
Site Reliability Engineering
As customer expectations and the reliance on digital banking in our daily lives continues to grow at an ever-increasing rate, it is imperative that we keep these technologies and our digital tools up and running. We are the team that focuses on helping to make this possible. We embrace the unexpected, learn from it and determine how to prevent it from occurring again.
